ARTOMAÑA TXAKOLINA

Near the medieval town of Orduña, about 30 km of Bilbao, in a rustic place of great natural beauty, you will find Artomaña Txakolina, a winery managed by the family predecessor of the Designation of Origin Arabako Txakolina - Txakoli de Alava. In the 90s, with the help of D. Eugenio Alava, the Alava-Ugarte family encouraged the recovery of the valley's wine activity, which had been an economic pillar of the area and had been weakening to almost extinction. Supported by the solid pillar of experience and tradition Artomaña Txakolina is guided by an innovation and continuous improvement spirit. The family farm and cellars are surrounded by 20 ha. of vineyard from which is obtained the fruit with which is produced a white txakoli (traditional wine of the Basque Country) whose international prestige is increasing day after day.
