VivaltuS | a reinterpretation of Ribera del Duero

Red wine | D.O. Ribera del Duero | Aged for 11 months in barrels and terracotta amphoras | Tempranillo and Merlot

A reinterpretation of Ribera del Duero, made in the Bordeaux style. Made with the advice of Jean Claude Berrouet, the renowned winemaker at Château Pétrus, from a blend of selected plots in the best areas of the region. A wine made with freshness, finesse and elegance in mind.

The 2019 vintage has a Saint Emilion character without losing its Ribera del Duero identity. The VivaltuS 2019 vintage can be described as less structured than previous vintages, but much more elegant, with the fragility and elegance of a ballerina. A garnet colour of medium intensity, where we can find differences between the nose and the palate. A nose of good maturity, with a great balance, but with a lot of freshness and a great contribution of fruit. In the mouth it is fleshy but elegant, with a good balance between acidity and tannin, with a very good integration. It has an aromatic, complex and long aftertaste, which, thanks to all these sensations, makes it a great wine.

Yllera Bodegas & Viñedos was founded in the early 70s by the brothers Jesús and Pepe Yllera, fifth generation of a family of winegrowers known as "Los Curros", who attracted by the potential of the Verdejo grape from Rueda were pioneers in the production of the first "modern" Verdejos of this Castilian denomination of origin.

In 1983 the Yllera brothers together with the winemaker and partner of the firm Ramón Martínez launched the Red Yllera on the market, a wine different from the usual one of the area, which has since reaped enormous oenological and commercial success.

Currently, the sixth generation of the Yllera family, together with a great team, runs this winery that in recent years has achieved an unquestionable position in the Spanish and international market thanks to its permanent commitment to innovation and personality and high quality in all its wines.
