The distinctive quality of the products covered by the ‘Foods from the Natural Paradise’ quality label will be showcased at the Salón Gourmets, demonstrating their versatility and culinary potential through a series of live cooking demonstrations taking place throughout the day.
The first of these, entitled “Fabas con Chosco: Asturian tradition, territory and product of origin”, will showcase the finest and most balanced version of a classic Asturian dish, presented by Mirta Rodríguez from the restaurant El Torneiro (Villayón, Asturias) and a member of the Club de Guisanderas de Asturias. The session will feature contributions from María Cruz Bueno Gómez, a Faba Asturiana PGI farmer; Gerardo Nievo González, president of the Faba Asturiana PGI; and Elena Gómez Feíto, president of the Chosco de Tineo PGI.
The Protected Designations of Origin Cabrales, Sidra de Asturias and Afuega’l Pitu will also be present, introducing the public to these products that are the hallmark of the region.
“Flavours of Asturias: tradition and creativity with Alimentos del Paraíso Natural” is the title of the showcooking event in which the Association for Research into the Meat Industry of the Principality of Asturias (ASINCAR) will showcase products covered by the Chorizo, Morcilla and Compango Asturiano Guarantee Mark, as well as those under the Alimentos del Paraíso Natural quality mark.
