ALTOS DE TORONA ALBARIÑO

Selection and manual harvest. Crushed, destemmed and cold macerated. Slow and controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aging on lees.
Altos de Torona is the largest single vineyard in Rías Baixas, with 94 hectares of enormous biodiversity oriented to the south on the slopes of mount Galeno, in Tomiño-O Rosal. On this hill, overlooking the River Miño and close to the Atlantic Ocean, the vineyard is divided into in plots, growing mainly Albariño grapes, as well as other native Galician varieties such as Caíño Blanco, Godello, Loureira and Treixadura.

At the upper reaches of the steep slopes of the Sil River Valley lies Bodega Regina Viarum—a natural gem in the heart of Galicia, nestled within Ribeira Sacra. Its vineyards, arranged in breathtaking terraces that defy gravity, embody what is known as Heroic Viticulture.Mencía grapes take center stage at this winery, complemented by the cultivation of other varieties such as Godello and the less common Tempranillo. The result is high-quality wines—marked by intense fruity aromas and elegant freshness—where the unmistakable terroir of Ribeira Sacra is ever present.
