Cheesecake Rocks

  • Exhibitor: MIGAYA
  • Brand name: MIGAYA
  • Sector: OTROS REPOSTERÍA
The cheesecake is one of the most emblematic desserts of the north of Spain, being the cheese in its different varieties present throughout our geography, the main protagonist.

MIGAYA was born after the union of a couple of entrepreneurs, Rubén García and Laura García, who want to make Asturias known and the enormous potential that our land has, through confectionery. And why not say it, here we popularly say to sweet lovers, "LLAMBIONES" and yes, we are!!

We want to show a different idea, based on tradition and Asturian confectionery, with a nod to the different towns, their origins, their history, monuments and sculptures, with the ingredients of the land with which desserts that are difficult to forget are made. . We are currently a small company that begins its journey in 2020, but we hope to grow with you and be able to convey this sweet idea that we are passionate about and that each person who visits our region takes a piece of it on their palate.

THE CHAPONAS

We were born paying homage to a Gijón sculpture, giving it the shape of a cookie to turn it into a sweet icon of the city, because we are convinced that few memories are as intense as those that are kept on the palate. We have created the sweet representation of a popular work of art from Gijón. "Shadows of Light" is a set of 4 corten steel plates located in the Mayán de Tierra or Paseo de Muro, between stairs 18 and 19, colloquially known as Las Chaponas. Las Chapinas would arrive later, a symbol of its imperfect holes through which light filters into the original sculpture.

A TRIBUTE TO ART AND THE CITY.

WE DECIDED TO EVOLVEWhat if we reinvent those flavors that take us to places and moments in our lives? The casadiellas, the rice pudding, the cheesecake, the almond desserts... At Migaya we have decided to pay homage to each of them, creating a handmade snack that respects the essence and tradition of its flavors.

A TRIBUTE TO TRADITION.
