Since the 1st Workshop of the Senses in 2000, the aim has been for the non-professional public to learn about the traceability of the food displayed in this space and with this idea the Children's Workshops were born, which are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. The Children's workshops, were developed with such objetive aimed at schoolchildren between 7 and 10 years old from the Community of Madrid. Children learn about the product in a closer way, seeing, touching and smelling as well as learning the basic principles of a healthy diet and of course, tasting their work, the funniest part of the workshop.
During the 38th edition of Salon Gourmets, students enjoyed the Cheese Workshop / PDO Tetilla Cheese Xunta de Galicia, which aims to bring students closer to this cheese so typical of Galicia, the Fruit Workshop / Generalitat Valenciana, where they experimented with citrus fruits from this region, the Tierra de Sabor Workshop / Castilla y León, where they experimented with typical Castilian products and the Bread Workshop / Horneo Fresh, where children learned how to prepare this product so present in the Mediterranean diet.
