Orujos Panizo held the final of the 14th edition of the National Cocktail Competition, demonstrating that new flavours and textures can be created with distillates such as orujo liqueur. An exceptional jury selected the most creative and innovative among the proposals of the 10 bartenders and sommeliers who reached the final.

The finalists had a time limit of 7 minutes to prepare 5 glasses of their cocktail, which had to contain a maximum of 6 products including drops, a minimum of 2 distillates and could not contain more than 7 cl. of alcoholic product.

As in previous editions, participants could enter their proposals in three categories: aperitif cocktails, digestives or long drinks. 10 formulas with the highest scores by a jury specialised in mixology and sommeliers competed in the grand final wich was held at the Salón Gourmets on 7 April.

The winner received a prize of €2,000, the runner-up €1,000 and the third place winner €500.
