Located in the heart of the Penedès region, Can Sala is renowned for producing long-aged sparkling wines under the D.O. Cava, distinguished as a Cava de Paraje Calificado.
The Can Sala 2008 was awarded the title of "Best Sparkling Wine in the World" in 2020 by The Drinks Business. At Can Sala, we craft exceptional single-estate cavas from meticulously selected, low-yield vineyards, with grapes harvested by hand.
Our family-owned winery in Sant Quintí de Mediona has a limited production capacity of up to 15,000 bottles annually. cava.wine The Can Sala 2008 is a blend of 50% Xarel·lo and 50% Parellada, the latter sourced from 75-year-old vines at an altitude of 340 meters, imparting elegance and finesse to the wine. The grapes are gently pressed using our historic wooden press, over a century old, adhering to a minimal intervention philosophy based on natural decantation.
