The Canary Islands Protected Designation of Origin is an initiative with the mission of consolidating the regional market, in order to be better represented on the international stage.This DOP covers wineries across Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, La Gomera, La Palma, Lanzarote, El Hierro and Tenerife.

The Canary Islands Protected Denomination of Origin has a great diversity of microclimates, asa result of its terrain, altitudes and the differentinclines on each island, the influence of the tradewinds from the Atlantic Ocean and the proximityto Africa, making the Canary Islands a “miniaturecontinent.” The origin of the Canary Islands is volcanic,therefore this characteristic of the soils contributesto the wines special and different characteristics.
