DIEGO RIVERA ROBLE / RED WINE 9 MONTHS IN BARREL (100% TEMPRANILLO) .D.O. RIBERA DEL DUERO

Type: Young red matured in barrel.

D.O .: Ribera del Duero. 

Varieties: 100% Tempranillo.

 Vineyard yield: 5.000 Kg / ha.

 Elaboration: partial crushing of the grape, once destemmed. The vintage paste is placed in 13000 L stainless steel trunk-conical tanks, where a cold pre-fermentation maceration takes place, for 7-8 days, achieving a remarkable extraction of the color and the primary aromas, typical of the grape. The fermentation temperature is controlled at 26-27 ° C and the maceration takes place in approximately 15 days. At the end of the malolactic fermentation, the wine evolves in a short aging of 9 months in French and American oak barrels. Finally, the wine is subjected to clarification and filtration, as operations prior to packaging.  

TASTING NOTES

Visual: The wine has a clean and bold cherry red color, with subtle hues of violet.

Scent: The wine has a deep aromatic complexity.  A variety of berry aromas, such as blackberries blueberries, and red currants, and fine floral notes (violet, red, and pink) arise.These aromas: alongside the dairy aromas produced via fermentation, appear among hints of vanilla, spices (pepper) and roasted aromas, creating a balanced, perfect wine.

Taste: The wine is tasty and appealing to the palate. Endowed with a good tannic structure, the aromas linger on the palate, highlighting the harmony between the fruit and the wood and creating an elegant finish to the wine.

Serving temperature: 18 o C

Pairing: All kinds of meat, rice and pasta.


The winery,  founded in the year 2004, on a few areas placed in the prestigious locality of Pesquera de Duero, in full heart of the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero.
