APPEARANCE: Amber to mahogany-coloured wine, darker the longer it has been aged.
NOSE: Warm, round, complex and powerful aromas. Pronounced aromas of dried nuts such as walnuts; toasted vegetal and balsamic notes reminiscent of noble wood, blond tobacco and dry leaves. Spicy notes and hints of truffle and leather can be appreciated.
TASTE: Tasty and very structured, powerful, round and full-bodied. Its glycerine content makes it smooth on the palate, with a long finish and complex retronasal aromas. Notes of noble wood stand out, leading to a very elegant drying finish.
PAIRING: Dishes with character in which it unfolds its full potential. Ideal with red meats and game, meat stews or casseroles, especially with gelatinous meats such as oxtail or cheeks; mushrooms and very mature cheeses.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14º to 16º C. Use a glass of white wine.
The oloroso Tío Alejandro is a high class wine, aromatic, full-bodied, with a dark golden colour. It comes from the complete fermentation of Palomino grape musts that are selected for a long oxidative ageing for the perfection of its structure.
