Red wine 100% tempranillo D.O Ribera del Duero aged 18 months in french oak barrels

Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, subsequent aging in French oak barrels for 18 month.

Red cherry, with a very high layer. Intense, complex and persistent. Its aromas of black fruit and balsamic nuances that are very characteristic of Tempranillo from old vines in this area stand out. Its great complexity comes in part from the diversity of the soils of those small estates selected for this wine. Clay-calcareous, sandy and stony soils. Soils that give the wine great minerality and volume.

Ample, long finish, with balsamic memories that give it freshness and elegance.

High aging potential.

Born from the restless  of the winemaker Juan Luis Cañas, Dominio de Cair was established in 2008, a challenge that can be summed up in one goal: to make great wines in an exceptional land, the Ribera del Duero.

At our winery, we have always believed that to create a great wine, you need great land. For this reason, Juan Luis traveled many times across Ribera del Duero until he found old vineyards, some over a century old.

These are located in an exceptional area, La Aguilera, where it feels like time has stood still. It is a remote region where nature is respected, the vineyards are allowed to express themselves freely, and tradition is constantly relied upon as a source of knowledge.

A modern winery with avant-garde architecture, where nothing is left to chance. Everything in it is designed for what truly matters: optimal conditions for creating wines of exceptional quality.
