LACASMI Winery was founded in 1987 as part of the San Miguel Agricultural Cooperative Society. It is located in the municipality of San Miguel de Abona in the south of the island of Tenerife, and is attached to both the D.O. ABONA as to the D.O. CANARY ISLANDS.
The winery was created by the initiative of several farmers who make wine with grapes from their potato farms. The preparations from the beginning were artisanal and for sale in bulk. That is why they feel the concern to join together as a cooperative to make wine and begin bottling under the distinctive name of the Abona Regulatory Council with the maximum quality parameters demanded by the market. In this way the winery becomes the first regional winery on the island of Tenerife. It is a winery perfectly adapted to new oenological trends, which guarantees the best organoleptic characteristics of its wines and also in the correct hygienic-sanitary conditions. It is currently certified in ISO 22000, which specifies the requirements that a management system must meet to ensure food safety.
At the present time we produce 20 wines included within the references: Apaga y Vámonos, Chasnero, Viña Tamaide and Borrón y Cuenta Nueva. We also make own brand wines for food platforms. And since 2020 we have been making a MALVILLO red vermouth. Currently we are going to launch our white vermouth on the market that will accompany the red vermouth.
