Barañano is a dry gin made by macerating grain alcohol with selected botanists and re-distilling in double-column coffey stills. For an exquisite care of the elaboration processes, the productions that are carried out are short elaborations. This gin lacks added aromas more than those provided by botanists in the maceration phase.
Botanicals selected for maceration: sloe, juniper, wormwood, ginger, lemon grass, lemon peel, orange peel.
It is a dry gin (dry) with moderate notes of juniper, clear notes of sloe and a citrus point that makes it very easy to take.
Elaboration:
Maceration: to obtain more precise aromas and flavours, the juniper is macerated separately, and on the other hand the rest of the botanists we use. When performing the maceration, this method would be the most purist being more laborious and expensive but obtaining better results.
Distillation: The distillation process used is a fractional distillation in batches (batches) in copper still with a column. In this phase, the botanists are distilled as they are macerated without mixing in this phase so as not to dilute certain nuances of some more delicate botanist who would end up "stepped" by more powerful others such as juniper.
Blending: Once the distilled alcohols have been rested (separately) for 24 hours, we move on to the blending phase (assembling) that is done separately (juniper-rest of botanicals) to reduce the high-grade alcohol to 40% abv and then assemble the two types.
Serve: It is recommended to combine with citrus notes tonic and flavour it with sloe fruits and a lime twist.
