White tuna, also known as Albacore or Longfinned tuna, is a blue fish that lives throughout the year in Atlantic waters and, between June and September, migrates to the Cantabrian Sea, during which time it is caught during the "Costera del Cantábrico", its fishing season. The white tuna belly is the part corresponding to the belly of the fish, characterized by its laminated structure, juiciness, texture and intense flavor.
At Frinsa, the white tuna belly is made from selected specimens caught during the fishing season, using only traditional fishing methods: with a rod and one by one. The canned product is prepared fresh, without prior freezing, and in whole pieces to prevent the fat between the slices from oxidizing, thus preserving all the flavor. This canned product is accompanied only by water and salt, so that the most natural flavor of the white tuna belly can be enjoyed.
