Coravin allows to serve wine without uncorking the bottle, thus protecting the liquid from oxidation. This device allows access to the wine without having to commit to the entire bottle, so the obligation to get caught with the wine itself during a whole meal is over. Coravin is an accessory that uses a medical grade stainless steel needle. This water crosses the cork without damaging it, allowing the wine to be poured out and serving the necessary glasses. Once inside the bottle, the system introduces a neutral gas (argon) that does not alter the organoleptic properties of the wine and pressurizes the bottle. When the needle is removed, the cork is resealed and continues to protect the wine, since it never comes into contact with oxygen. The remaining wine in a bottle will continue to age naturally, so you can continue tasting after months or even years. When stored correctly, the tasted wine cannot be distinguished from that of an unopened bottle.
