The meat used for this organic jerky comes from animals raised in pesticide, insecticide, and chemical-free fields. These animals have been fed a healthy and balanced diet and have been raised in an open-air environment. Adding the ECOLOGICAL concept to this iconic product of Leonese gastronomy, a recent nutritional study has been conducted at the Castilla y León Meat Technology Station, highlighting its healthy properties such as a high protein content, which contributes to muscle development and bone maintenance. Additionally, this recent study certifies that consuming Leonese Beef Jerky provides a high intake of Iron, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc, and vitamin B12, nutritional components necessary for many of the main metabolic functions of both children and adults. Organic meat is that which comes from an animal raised in a pesticide, insecticide, or chemical-free farm for the last 3 years.
Organic agriculture: it is a certification from the European Union and guarantees that the product complies with the following ecological standards: Standards are established that ensure the welfare of animals, regarding the conditions in which they live, access to the outdoors or pastures, or the treatment of sick animals. Animals are fed with 100% organic feed, eliminating any type of chemical residue that may pass into the meat. This feed comes from the same farm (or exploitation) where the animals live or from the same region. Mammal offspring are fed with natural milk, preferably maternal. Natural breeding methods must be used, although artificial insemination is allowed, animal cloning or embryo transfer is prohibited.
