 It is a skewer made with a piece of salted sardine and a piece of semi-cured cheese.

These are salted sardines that are then eviscerated, gutted, skinned, peeled and finally filleted in a very meticulous, totally artisan way and always under quality and food safety controls, which, together with a piece of semi-cured cheese, make for a snack with a very intense flavour with the mixture of both products.

It is a highly beneficial food for our health.

Its high concentration of calcium and phosphorus helps to strengthen our bones. It also contains vitamin B12 and D which help to protect our immune system.   

The product is kept in a cold storage room at a controlled temperature of 0-5ºC until it is dispatched.


       Salted fish factories have always been related to those located on the edge of the sea, but this is not the case, as our company is located in the north of the province of Granada and perhaps it is the most natural thing to do, because if we go back to ancient times in these regions, the consumption of salted, canned and smoked fish was widespread, given that being inland, fresh fish were very difficult to preserve and were salted or smoked so that they would not perish quickly.                 SALAZONES COBASAL is a family business with a long history in the manufacture and marketing of salted sardines for the catering and food business. For the last 20 years it has been developing its activity in the city of Baza (Granada), where its factory is mainly dedicated to the production of salted sardines and other salted and smoked products.          

 The manufacturing plant has a series of rooms for handling, processing and packaging the product, together with a set of cold storage and freezing chambers that keep the fish in ideal conditions for its correct treatment at all stages of the production process.       

         In all areas we practice a rigorous quality control that allows us to obtain a final product that fully satisfies our customers: Since March 2021 we have been certified ISO 9001 in Quality Management System, and ISO 22000 in Food Safety Management System.              

  Our company currently has an Equality Plan, as 95% of our staff is made up of women, distributed in 3 departments, Administration, Manufacturing and Sales.                

We have a network of distributors who sell our products in different areas of Spain.
