Tomatin is a whisky distilled in the heart of the Highlands. Its distillery is one of the oldest in Scotland according to literary sources. Second largest distillery in terms of production size in Scotland, although it only utilizes 50% of its stills (12 out of 23).Its name in Gaelic means Tom - At - In, "The hill of the bush", referring to the hill where the old distillery was located in the 15th century.Three expressions, 12, 18, and 25 years old (Tomatin 12 years old is positioned in mass distribution).Most of Tomatin's production is destined for blending, with only a few casks selected to produce Single Malt. Tomatin's warehouses are some of the largest in Scotland, with almost all distilleries in Scotland having whisky barrels aging in Tomatin's warehouses. The distillery is so large that it owns a small village where employees live.Whiskies with a very "Spanish" style. This past year 2022 received a variety of awards including "Best Whisky" for Tomatin Legacy and "Scottish Distillery of the Year".
