GRAPE VARIETY: Tinta del País 100%.
SOIL: Loam and clay, at the very lower partwith sandy parts.
CLIME: A warm winter with a lot of rainfallfollowed by a spring again of abundand rainfall delayedboth shoot and flowering. A warm and dry summerendured an optimal maduration of the grapes., they couldbe picked with an excellent phenolic ripeness.
VINEYARD: Finca San Miguel (0,65 ha),planted in 1925 in the traditional bush style. The plotslopes down towards the North. In very cold and very wetyears this could cause problems, in hot and dry yearsthese are perfect conditions.
HARVEST: Hand picked on October, 4th2018. The grapes were destemmed, the must fermentedusing only the yeasts of the grapes. Total macerationtime: 14 days.
AGEING: The malolactic fermentation ran inbarrels of French oak. During 14 months in these barrels.
BOTTLING: On April, 15th, 2020.
PRODUCTION: 738 bottles and 50 magnum bottles.

BODEGA: “LA FAMILIA” Bodegas y Viñedos Gallego Zapatero is a family run winery deeply rooted in a vinegrower’s history which elaborates wine using uniquely grapes of their own vineyards. Both the vineyards and the winery are situated in Anguix, in the ancient centre of the Denominación de Origen Ribera del Duero
VINEYARDS.: “LOS PILARES DE ESTE PROYECTO” The nine plots run by the winery - Valdepalacios, San Miguel, Otero, La Morris, Camino Viejo, Molino, La Nava, Dujos,La Cañada,Fuentecojo and San Miguel 2) – are entirely situated in Anguix. The overall fifteen hectares of vineyards show perfectly the diversity of various types of soil, orientations , forms of training, altitudes, and ages of the vines. Using the traditional, organic way of cultivating vines results both in low yields as well as in a high quality of the grapes, which form the base of our wines: YOTUEL
WINES.: “FRUTO DEL RESPETO A NUESTRA UVA” In order to interpret well the different types of terroir we elaborate the grapes of each plot on its own. Finally there are two types of wines: estate wines and single vineyard wines. Two of the wines show the typicity of the origin Anguix as well as the philosophy of the winery: Fruit, elegance and kindness.
