GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Tinta del País
SOIL: Limestone with sandy parts, thecrumbs consist in loam and some clay.
CLIME: A warm winter with a lot of rainfallfollowed by a spring again of abundand rainfall delayedboth shoot and flowering. A warm and dry summerendured an optimal maduration of the grapes., theycould be picked with an excellent phenolic ripeness.
VINEYARDS: In the municipality of Anguix, thegrapes were selected in four plots: Molino and Dujos,trained in a trellis system, and La Cañada and PinchaRatas, trained in bush style. Average yields: 39 hl/ha.
HARVEST: Grapes were sourced onOctober, 6th, 2019. Hand picked using boxes of fifteenkilos, selected and de-stemmed in the winery. Themust fermented during twelve days with indigenousyeast only.
AGEING: During ten months in barrels ofFrench oak and in a concrete tank.
BOTTLING: On August, 25th, 2021
PRODUCTION: 19.433 bottles of 75cl and 800bottles magnum.

BODEGA: “LA FAMILIA” Bodegas y Viñedos Gallego Zapatero is a family run winery deeply rooted in a vinegrower’s history which elaborates wine using uniquely grapes of their own vineyards. Both the vineyards and the winery are situated in Anguix, in the ancient centre of the Denominación de Origen Ribera del Duero
VINEYARDS.: “LOS PILARES DE ESTE PROYECTO” The nine plots run by the winery - Valdepalacios, San Miguel, Otero, La Morris, Camino Viejo, Molino, La Nava, Dujos,La Cañada,Fuentecojo and San Miguel 2) – are entirely situated in Anguix. The overall fifteen hectares of vineyards show perfectly the diversity of various types of soil, orientations , forms of training, altitudes, and ages of the vines. Using the traditional, organic way of cultivating vines results both in low yields as well as in a high quality of the grapes, which form the base of our wines: YOTUEL
WINES.: “FRUTO DEL RESPETO A NUESTRA UVA” In order to interpret well the different types of terroir we elaborate the grapes of each plot on its own. Finally there are two types of wines: estate wines and single vineyard wines. Two of the wines show the typicity of the origin Anguix as well as the philosophy of the winery: Fruit, elegance and kindness.
