José Pariente Verdejo

“Our freshest and most elegant native grape”

Our verdejo 100% signature wine is made from vineyards planted between 1962 and 1991 family owned and from selected old vineyards, what allows to blend the soil range complexity from the Appellation of Origin Rueda.

Vineyard

The soil, made up of round pebble layers, and low in organic matter, develops some limestone outcrops on the higher levels. The local climate, continental with Atlantic influence, forces the vines to go deep in search of water.

Winemaking process

After harvest, must ferments in stainless steel, concrete, and wooden vats. After fermentation the wine ages on its lees for four months. This blend is what makes our José Pariente Verdejo unique.

At the top of a moor and in the heart of the Rueda, our history and our winery were born. Surrounded by a flat landscape, with stony soils and a lot of history in its vines. The Verdejo grape and our actions has defined our life, our wines and our future.

We have five varietal Verdejo wines (José Pariente Verdejo, Fermentado en Barrica, Cuvée Especial, Finca Las Comas and 25 Años en Barrica) and two Sauvignon Blanc wines (José Pariente Sauvignon Blanc and Apasionado de José Pariente, the latter being a wine sweet).  In parallel, since 2012, we have an artisanal project based on three premises: differentiation, territory and selection, Bodegas Prieto Pariente. A brand under which red and Viognier wines are made, artisanal and with a great personality. After 25 years of experience we continue working, innovating and wanting to offer you the best of our land.
