With an innate passion for gastronomy and a pioneering spirit, Don Bernardo, who had been living on the island of Lanzarote for a decade, transformed the preackly pear, a locally abundant but undervalued fruit, into an exquisite jam that captured the essence of the Canary Islands. With the founding of the company in 1995, Don Bernardo's commitment to culinary innovation and the development of a brand that would serve as a connection between Lanzarote and the world was solidified. Operating from an island presented unique challenges, from limited resource availability to logistical complexities in distribution. However, these obstacles only served to sharpen our creativity and strengthen our determination. Each jar of jam, adorned with a handwritten label, became a testament to our ability to overcome the inherent difficulties of our island location.The expansion into the Canarian market and beyond was a journey marked by resilience and excellence in quality. The introduction of jams with aloe vera in 2016 and the move to an industrial area in 2017 were strategic steps toward improving our production, always maintaining the artisanal soul of our products. The launch of Su¨rest gin in 2022 symbolized a new chapter in our history, highlighting our evolution from a small initiative to becoming a reference in island gastronomy. From those early experiments in the kitchen of a restaurant to becoming ambassadors of Canarian culture, our story is one of passion, innovation, and profound respect for the resources that nature provides us. In every product we offer, the unwavering commitment to quality that Don Bernardo established from the beginning is reflected.
