The Food Awards of Spain 2021 convened by the MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food) has ruled that the best Iberian ham in Spain is made in Castilla y León. The family business Aljomar, based in Guijuelo, has obtained the highest score for its 100% Iberian black label ham in a rigorous blind tasting carried out by tasters from the Institute for Agro-Food Research and Technology (IRTA), as well as sector specialists convened by the Ministry.

Leading manufacturer of high-end Iberian products, located in Guijuelo (Salamanca), one of the few companies in the sector that has a controlled production cycle, with its own animal feed factory, owners of the most important slaughterhouse in the sector.
