Small sardines are simply smaller specimens of the common sardine (Sardina pilchardus), a blue fish easily recognizable by its silvery appearance. Frinsa canned small sardines come from fresh sardines whose selection, cleaning and head removal is done by hand. They are, then, subjected to a steam roasting process, after which only olive oil is added, thus obtaining a product of intense flavor and pleasant texture.
