Vino Tinto D.O. Ribera del Duero con 14 meses barricas y 12 al menos de crianza

Bodega y Viñedos Martín Berdugo is a family run estate. The first steps were taken in 1990 when the family planted vines along the bank of the River Duero. However, recently discovered documents show that the same lands were used by their ancestors over the centuries to produce wine. The winery was built in 2000, and 10 years after the first vines were planted, wines were produced under the Martín Berdugo label. The estate is in Aranda de Duero (Burgos) in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, on the Castilian Meseta. At 800 metres altitude, surrounding the winery, are 87 hectares of trellised vines, planted in one vineyard. The grapes are tempranillo, the local variety of Tinta Fina which gives the Ribera del Duero it’s unmistakable color and flavor. The vines are planted on a terrace overlooking the river Duero, on an alluvial soil base, covered in rounded pebbles which retain the heat aiding the ripening process. The extreme climate conditions ensure that the grapes reflect the uniqueness of the land, where you can appreciate the flavors and aromas of the fruit in all the wines. Using the latest technologies alongside traditional methods, transmitting the essence of the different zones of the vineyard, the wines reflect the constant care and effort put into the vines. The special character of the wines can be appreciated by everyone who joins us in drinking a glass of Martín Berdugo
