YOTUEL FINCA CAMINO VIEJO 2014
GRAPE VARIETY: Tinta del País 100%.
SOIL: Clay and calcarean soil with sandy parts.
CLIME: A mild winter with a lot of rainfall, followed by a warm spring resulted in an early shoot. Summer started with a lot of rain but at the end it changed into a quite hot period. The grapes matured perfectly, both the accumulation of the sugar and the maturation of the phenols was optimal.
VINEYARDS: One plot, Camino Viejo, situated in the south of Anguix. Planted in 1985, trained in Cordon. The clon used gives small grapes with loose berries, the yields are really low.
HARVEST: Hand picked on the 27th of September, 2014, using cases of 15 kg. The must fermented with only indigenous yeasts during 13 days in inox tanks. The malolactic fermentation ran in barrels of French oak.
AGEING: During 14 months in barrels of French oak.
PRODUCTION: 540 bottles and 30 magnum bottles.

BODEGA: “LA FAMILIA” Bodegas y Viñedos Gallego Zapatero is a family run winery deeply rooted in a vinegrower’s history which elaborates wine using uniquely grapes of their own vineyards. Both the vineyards and the winery are situated in Anguix, in the ancient centre of the Denominación de Origen Ribera del Duero
VINEYARDS.: “LOS PILARES DE ESTE PROYECTO” The nine plots run by the winery - Valdepalacios, San Miguel, Otero, La Morris, Camino Viejo, Molino, La Nava, Dujos, and Pincharatas – are entirely situated in Anguix. The overall nine hectares of vineyards show perfectly the diversity of various types of soil, orientations , forms of training, altitudes, and ages of the vines. Using the traditional, organic way of cultivating vines results both in low yields as well as in a high quality of the grapes, which form the base of our wines: YOTUEL
WINES.: “FRUTO DEL RESPETO A NUESTRA UVA” In order to interpret well the different types of terroir we elaborate the grapes of each plot on its own. Finally there are two types of wines: estate wines and single vineyard wines. Two of the wines show the typicity of the origin Anguix as well as the philosophy of the winery: Fruit, elegance and kindness.
YOTUEL SELECCION AND YOTUEL ROBLE
Each of the three other wines add a new dimension: because the grapes come from always one single plot they also demonstrate the personalities of the three single vineyards.
