Luis Alegre Reserva is elaborated  with grapes from vineyards with an average age of 45 years. These vineyards provide us of a maximum of 4,800 kg per hectare in order to obtain a perfect balance of anthocyanins, tannins and other polyphenols. The fermentation happens for 8-9 days at tanks of low capacity (12,000 Kg) and continues the maceration with the skins during 20 additional days to acquire the structure and volume that allow a long aging. After that, it passes to French and American oak barrels where it stays for 17 months with 2-3 decanting per year. Then, it remains an additional 19 months at bottle.
