Los Aljibes Winery is part of Finca Los Aljibes, estate located in the Chinchilla de Montearagón district of Albacete, in the Vino de la Tierra de Castilla wine
producing region.
The winery building, in the typical La Mancha style, is surrounded by 178 hectares of vineyards, cultivated at almost one thousand meters above sea level.
Los Aljibes is focused on creating functional, modern wines of high expression and was designed for this purpose in an architectural complex of refined culture.
The estate’s bedrock is limestone, with shallow, sandy soil containing little organic material. In the continental style, the climate is rigorous and arid. The combination of these extreme conditions and the high altitude favor a long maturation process for the grapes adapted to the area, and low production, gracing the wines born in the región with great roundness and quality.
The viticulture applied in the vineyards incorporates the most modern techniques and ecological cultivation systems into a firm traditional base to guarantee high quality grapes as well as a sustainable equilibrium between the estate and the winery.

the varieties In Los Aljibes traditional Spanish varieties (Tempranillo, Garnacha, Garnacha Tintorera and Verdejo) are cultivated in addition to others that have adapted well to the farm’s climate (Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay). This gives higher complexity to the wines, bringing out the best characteristic of each grape to achieve a wine of the utmost expression.
