The Tastiest Country in the World

#alimentosdeespaña created by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, which does not miss its annual appointment with Salón Gourmets through "The Richest Country in the World". With a Gastronomic Space of 1,400 m2 in which to enjoy show cooking, conferences, presentations, as well as breakfasts and snacks with quality products of Spanish gastronomy. In addition to the traditional Wine Tunnel, EVOO Tunnel and the new Fish Tunnel.

All the products on display demonstrate year after year their commitment to quality and the environment, protected by their respective quality labels: Designation of Origin (DO), Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) or Traditional Specialities Guaranteed (TSG).

Monday 18 October


10:00 - 10:30 h: Breakfasts #alimentosdeespaña. Bread, tomato, EVOO and coffee with milk.

12:00 - 12:30 h: Conference of the DOP Aceite de la Rioja with Pepe Viyuela, ambassador of EVOO truffles, on new trends in EVOO consumption in confectionery with tasting and demonstration by the pastry chef Alfonso Herce de Blas from Pastelería La Clavelina (Arnedo, La Rioja).

12:30 - 13:30 h: Opening.

13:30 - 14:00 h: Conference by the Regulatory Council of the Sierra de Segura Denomination of Origin Oil tasting with the chef José Miguel Valdivieso Romero.

14:00 - 15:00 h: Fedepesca. Show cooking by Manuel Almazán, professional fishmonger, with cod cocotxas al pil pil and trout from Soria.

15:00 - 16:30 h: Tasting of Avileña Negra Ibérica, Morucha and Retinta 100% Native Breed products with chefs Alberto Tabernero and Celeste (Celeste's Blog).

17:00 - 18:00: Cepesca show cooking, tasting of hake, white shrimp, prawns, red tuna, swordfish, monkfish tails, sea bream and white halibut.

18:00 - 18:30 h: Tasting of the Regulatory Council of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, PDO Priego de Córdoba and PDO Sierra Mágina, early harvest aoves and yoghurt/chocolate.


Tuesday 19th October


10:00 - 10:30 h: Breakfast #alimentosdeespaña. Bread, tomato, EVOO and coffee with milk.

11:00 - 12:00 h: Apromar. Crianza de Nuestros Mares, show cooking with sea bream, sea bass and sea bass by the chef Roberto Martínez Foronda.

12:00 - 13:00: Cooking with Súper Peixiño Opromar. Show cooking of horse mackerel and mince de bacala dilla by Luna Zacharias from Masterchef.

13:00 to 13:30 h: Coalla organises a wine tasting by Sonia Sanz.

13:30 - 14:30: Anacef Campaign, We Like Fish, we love real food. Brotola and red mullet tasting.

14:30 - 15:00 h: Aperitif The Richest Country in the World, bread, oil, tomato, sausage and glass of wine.

15:00 - 16:00 h: Presentation of PDO Pedroso Pecans together with Nerpio Pecans.

15:30 - 16:30 h: Interporc show cooking with pork meat by the chef Joaquín Felipe.

17:00 - 17:30h: Tasting of Idiazábal PDO Cheese.

17:30. - 18:00h: Tasting of PDO Majorero Cheese by Luz María Díaz González.

18:00 - 18:30h: Show cooking of the Consejo Regulador IGP Corderex by chef Alejandro Hernández Talaván, who will prepare a mini cannelloni stuffed with lamb stew, cauliflower purée with curry and cheese and quince jelly, among other dishes.


Wednesday 20 October

11:00 - 11:30h: Idealimentación Conference. Meat Industry Technology Centre. Revaluation for the development of new products of the quality brands of La Rioja.

11:30 - 12:00h: DOP Jabugo La Plenitud sensory tasting.

12:00 - 13:00 h: Show cooking Avianza with chicken, turkey and quail meat.

13:00 - 14:00h: Interovic presentation, Provacuno. Cock fight: Paquito vs Pepito.

14:00 - 15:00h: Tasting of Galician Mexillón DO: Galician Mexillón in citrus vinaigrette, Galician Mexillón open pie and Herbón pepper mayonnaise and Galician Mexillón in tripe stew by the chef Miguel Mosteiro.

15:00 - 17:00h: Tasting of 100% native breed Iberian pork products by chef Juan Luis Rodríguez and tasting of 100% native breed Merina products by Dani Valverde.

17:00 - 17:30h: Tasting IGP Morcilla de Burgos.

17:30 - 18:00h: Conference of the Sierra de Cazorla PDO Regulatory Council and cheese tasting.

18:00 - 18:30h: Conference of the Avila Meat Regulatory Council by the blogger Mireia Alum (Cooking and Travel) and tasting of meat from Avila.
