Thomas Perrin, member of the 5 generation in charge of vineyards Château de Beaucastel, conducts this exclusive tasting of wines produced in the south of the Rhone Valley, a terroir marked by a rocky and clay soil that reveals the virulence of the river. The sunny weather with scarce rainfall and the exaggerated temperature changes, round off the personality of the grapes. According to the owners, from the 130 hectares that Château de Beaucastel embraces, the 100 surrounding the castle have the memory of up to 13 types of grapes, those typical of the AOC Châteauneuf-de-Pape, among which: syrah, grenache, mourvedre o cinsault. The tasting includes as well, three wines from the Gigondas, neighboring area with a different AOC, where the Perrin family looks, once again, for the soil’s specific qualities, marked by their personal seal of organic and biodynamic production.
