The prizes for the New Products that appear to the 33rd edition of the Gourmets Fair include 3 categories as is tradition: Innovation Award, Presentation Award and Versatility Award. These awards can be chosen by any company that exhibits any of its new items in the New Products showcases and that have entered the market over the last year.

Innovation Award: It recognizes the investment made by companies in RD&D and is awarded to a unique product that is original and represents, with its launch on the market, an advance for the sector and for the consumers.

Presentation Award: It is based on the coherence of two basic concepts: the aesthetic factor, which considers the presentation of the product, and the informative factor from the point of view of the consumer. The aim is to reward the balance between the attractive quality of the product’s packaging and the information that provides accurate details regarding its nutritional values.

Versatility Award: This award is granted to the product whose uniqueness enriches gastronomic heritage due to its multiple applications.

Undoubtedly, after 24 consecutive editions, the New Products Exhibition continues to attract lots of attention and has become the most media-focused area of the Gourmets Fair, as it sets the national and international culinary trends for the following year. Among the more than 1,300 new products that could be found in the showcases of the 32nd Salon Gourmets Fair, the winners were: Innovation Award: Valdezarza’s new format for EVOO Coupage especially for octopus has won this award, for its daring initiative in marketing an oil designed exclusively for the preparation of this product.

Presentation Award: The Belenguer pastry shop has triumphed with its Art Series, an assortment of hand-painted, gluten-free handmade chocolates. Versatility Award: has gone to Vehortu’s Tudela white artichoke.
