The League of 99 consists of the wines that the Tasting Committee awards with its maximum rating: 99 points on a scale of 100 points, sublime wines that stand out with their strong personality, elegance and exceptional qualities.

Only the best wines of Spain will have the honour of appearing in the most prominent pages of the Gourmet Guide Wines, The Best of Spain (GVG): pioneering, objective, independent and critical, it lists year after year the best wineries in Spain.

When occasionally asked the question, “If they are the best ones why not give them a score of 100?” The experts offer clarification "because perfection does not exist. We leave that final point to the criteria of our readers/users, since it is the taster or wine amateur who has the power to assess it”.

Until the end of October, and the completion of blind tastings for the forthcoming 2019 Gourmets Wine Guide (34th edition), we won’t know who the lucky ones will be appearing in the League. As soon as we know them, we will publish them here on our website, in addition to listing them through our Newsletter and Social Networks.
