Le Gruyère AOP: the king of Swiss cheeses worldwide known for its powerful flavor.

The king of Swiss cheeses is known worldwide for its powerful flavor and pronounced aroma with fruity touches that vary according to the area and time of production. Originally from the Gruyère region, in the Pre-Alps, this cheese has been manufactured since 1115 and has been the subject of many imitations. Producers of milk, cheese makers and ripeners fought for decades to only consider as Gruyère the cheese produced in Western Switzerland. The EU recognized this identity with the Denomination of Origin in 2010.
