Salt Valley in the town of Salinas de Añana (Basque Country) produce one of the best salt varieties in the World: Añana Salt. Its quality is based on this fully traditional productions System and on the opinión of some of the best cooks in the world.
Salt Valley of Añana is a unique landscape subject to a recovery process that consists in thousands of plataforms or salt -pans, channels, Wells and strorage áreas. Añana Salt is the fruit of the natural evaporation of the brine from the valley´´s springs. The crystallisation process is based on three factors: the sun, the wind and the traditional techniques used by yhe salt - workers.
