CHEESE ELABORATED FROM RAW MILK OF COW, GOAT AND SHEEP OF MINIMAL CURING OF 8 MONTHS

A distinctive feature of the Canary Islands is it´s rugged landscapes, result of their volcanic origin. Of the weird rock formations that we can see, the natural rock caves have had and important role in the past and at present, as they have been chosen as human settlements by the locals. It is on these caves that our cured ´Fontanales´ cheese gets its flavour, matured within the humid rock walls in the heart of Gran Canaria. The cows, sheep and goats which provide the milk of this cheese graze the Highland fields. At this altitude the vegetation is abundant due to the humidity of the land, being part of the grass and prairies we have trees like the heather, the bay and the Canarian Pine tree.

Quesos Bolaños is a company whose origins are located in the northern area of ??the island of Gran Canaria (Spain), in the foothills of Guia and Galdar, for more than 70 years, dedicated to the maturation and distribution of traditional Canarian cheese .
