  • Brand name: FILLABOA

This wine is made from grapes grown on the historical Fillaboa estate. The 70 hectare vineyard lies on rolling slopes, adjoining the Tea and Miño rivers in the south, forming a natural border with Portugal.
The rich soils and Atlantic climate make Fillaboa a privileged and exceptional place for growing Albariño grapes and award the wines a great personality.                                                                                                                           Tasting notes
Color: Straw-yellow with green hues. Clear and bright.
Nose:Intense, fine and elegant. Aromas of pineapple, apple and citrus fruits mingle with notes of stone fruits and mango.
Palate:The attack is smooth and full of flavour. The mid-palate is long with well-balanced flavours and perfectly integrated acidity.
Fillaboa is fresh and fruity and has good structure, it is a very round wine and offers a persistent aftertaste.
Federico Masaveu Rivell was the first in the family to venture into the world of winemaking in the 19th century, owning vineyards in Castellar del Vallés. However, it was not until 1974 when the Masaveu family decided to follow in his footsteps with the purchase of Bodegas Murua. These wines are renowned for their quality and their respect for the land. All the wines are crafted with fruit from our own estates, our aim being to transmit the personality of the land in each and every bottle: We are present in the most important designations of origin in Spain: Murua (DO Rioja), Fillaboa (DO RiasBaixas), Pagos de Araiz (DO Navarra), Bodegas Leda (VdT Castilla y León) and our cider factory, Valverán (Asturias).
