Unoaked white wine Verdejo 100% D.O. Rueda

WINEMAKING PROCESS:

Grapes harvested by night with low temperature conditions, preserving the typical features of the variety. Refrigerated maceration that allows a higher aromatic extraction. Fermented in stainless steel, between 10 and 15 days, at a temperature of 16ºC. Aged for 3 or 4 months on the fine lees. Bottled without fining, on cold stabilization.

VINEYARDS AND SOIL:

Between 12 and 15 years old vines from our own vineyards, planted on a plateau, at an average altitude of 750 meters, where the soils are made of pebbles, sand and limestone.

TASTING NOTES:

Straw yellow with steely glints, clean and bright.
Good aromatic intensity and frankness. Aroma of fresh fruit, with hints of white flowers.
Light in the mouth, fresh, and very pleasant to drink.

The winery´s most recent bet is the development of tourism and the fact of having joined the recent Wine Route of Rueda, a multidisciplinary association recognized and certified by ACEVIN since February 2014. Also the winery Reina de Castilla is a Company associated to the Route of wine of Rueda, in order to promote the Wine-Tourism visits to our winery and the rest of associated companies to the Wine Route. Hundreds of visitors have already passed through our facilities to approach the culture of Verdejo.
