Pago de Larrainzar is the soul of our family and the tribute to our beautiful estate. Because of its exceptional quality, we decided to launch into the market a limited Production of this single grape wine, made of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is the most cultivated grape in the world and the origin of many of the best wines on the planet. Wines always unique, that show the land from where they are born. it shows a bright red color with high layer. Intense aroma very varietal, with memories of berries, pepper and mineral background. Fleshy and with nerve, it does not leave indifferent while entering the mouth. It shows a great structure that carries an earthy feeling. Good balance betweeen power and freshness, fruit and wood, pleasure and finesse. Long aftertaste that tells it will be alife for a long stay in the bottle.
The Larrainzar family has owned, for the last six generations, an extraordinary estate of 150 hectares in Ayegui (Navarra), adjacent to the Monastery of Irache, at the foot of Montejurra mountain, in the region called Tierra Estella. In this property is the house of Larrainzar, where they have lived for centuries. Pago de Larrainzar is a family project, developed in a specific land, to produce wines with character and personality and endowed with something even more important, soul.
They have only 17 ha of vineyard, next to the winery. It is a complex vineyard, with 4 varieties, of different clones and rootstocks and 10 differentiated "terroirs". All its wines come from this vineyard, very advanced in technology, where a double selection of the grape is made, first in the vineyard and then in the winery, to ensure that only the best grapes are part of its wines.
They make only red wines, usually of assembly of its four varieties and in limited productions, under the supervisión of the recognized winemaker Ignacio de Miguel. Each variety is harvested by hand and, from that point until the final blend, they follow their separate ways. Only then the blend is decided, so each variety contributes with its unique notes to the final wine.
They respect the fruity character of the wines, but always balanced with notes of French barrel, in perfect armony.
Their wines already count with the recognition of the press and the trade and they are exported to the international markets through specialized importers.
