El Salón de Gourmets nació con la filosofía de ser punto de encuentro entre fabricantes y consumidores de los productos delicatessen. Actualmente es el evento de referencia en el sector de la gastronomía de calidad en Europa.
Del 2 al 5 de abril de 1987 se celebró en Madrid -en el Pabellón de Convenciones de la Casa de Campo- el I Salón de Gourmets, que contó con la participación de 73 expositores y fue visitado por 8.000 personas.
En 1992 estrenó caracter internacional otorgado por la Secretaría de Estado para el Comercio, convocándose a partir de entonces como Salón Internacional del Club de Gourmets.
En 2007 se incorporó como socio de pleno derecho a UFI (Asociación de Ferias Internacionales) además de como Feria Oficial de la Comunidad de Madrid.
En abril de 2008 el Salón de Gourmets celebró su vigésima segunda edición bajo la Presidencia del Comité de Honor de S.M. el Rey, se expusieron 45.000* productos, recibió 70.808* visitantes profesionales y acogió a 1.243* expositores.
Las mesas redondas, conferencias, concursos, exhibiciones y demás actividades paralelas ponen de manifiesto el espíritu vanguardista que siempre ha caracterizado al Grupo Gourmets.
Los días 11, 12, 13 y 14 de abril se celebrará el XXV Salón Internacional del Club de Gourmets, en los pabellones 4, 6, 8 y 10 de IFEMA.

The Gourmets Fair began with the philosophy of being a meeting point for delicatessen manufacturers and consumers. It is currently the reference event in Europe’s quality gastronomy industry.
The 1st Gourmets Fair was held in Madrid –in the Convention Pavilion in Casa de Campo- on April 2-5, 1987, with the participation of 73 exhibitors and 8,000 visitors.
In 1992 the State Secretary of Commerce lent the fair its international character, and it became the Club de Gourmets International Fair.
In 2007 it became a full member of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, UFI, as well as an Official Fair in the Madrid Community.
In April 2008, the twenty-second edition of the Gourmets Fair was held with HRM the King of Spain acting as Honorary President. It received 70,808* professional visitors, with 1,243* exhibitors and 45,000* products displayed.
The round tables, conferences, competitions, exhibitions and other parallel activities reflect the vanguard spirit which has always distinguished Grupo Gourmets.
The 23rd Club de Gourmets International Fair will take place on March 30-31 and April 1-2 in pavilions 4, 12 and 14 of IFEMA, Feria de Madrid, with plenty of space to accommodate its growing demands, and premises and services in tune with the fair’s leading position.
